What you'll do:
As an AVP - Product Controller based in Singapore, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment where your expertise in financial governance will be crucial.
- Overseeing the integrity of Fixed Income P&L reporting—particularly within Rates and FX—while collaborating with colleagues across business units to address complex queries related to structured issuances, treasury funding charges, bespoke transactions, and more.
- You will play an integral role in month-end close activities such as balance sheet substantiation while also supporting new product launches through cross-regional coordination.
- Your ability to identify control gaps will help safeguard the organisation’s financial interests.
- By embracing process re-engineering initiatives using automation tools like Tableau or Power BI, you will contribute significantly to optimising operational efficiency.
- Success in this role requires not only technical proficiency but also excellent communication skills for building trusted relationships with stakeholders throughout the business.
What you bring:
To excel as an AVP - Product Controller, you will bring proven experience from roles within investment banking or major financial institutions where you have been responsible for product control or market risk management.
- A university degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting is required along with at least four years’ experience in product control or market risk within investment banking or large financial services organisations.
- Demonstrated experience with profit & loss attribution processes as well as cross-border booking controls is essential for success in this position.
- A solid understanding of ledger entries (debit/credit) combined with basic exposure to core accounting concepts is necessary for accurate financial management.
- Proven knowledge of Fixed Income products—including both vanilla instruments and structured products—as well as their valuation methodologies, pricing mechanisms, and associated risks is expected.
- Experience handling Note Issuance processes along with related Treasury matters would be highly advantageous for this role.
- Exceptional analytical abilities paired with clear communication skills are vital; you should be able to work independently while delivering results within tight deadlines.
- A track record of contributing to or managing cross-functional projects—ensuring transparent communication channels and timely execution—is important for effective collaboration.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications is required for data analysis; familiarity with data visualisation or automation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Python or RPA/UI Path would be considered an asset.
