Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of People to manage the overall human resources functions for their operations in Bangkok, Thailand. This role offers an exciting opportunity to plan, manage, and direct strategic and operational HR functions across various business units, ensuring alignment with Group HR strategies. What you'll do:
As Head of People, you will be responsible for managing the overall human resources functions for our client's operations in Bangkok. You will plan, manage, and direct strategic and operational HR functions across various business units. Your role includes building strong employee relations at all levels, overseeing competitive remuneration policies, managing yearly performance processes, settling disputes, handling grievances, conducting disciplinary reviews leading to termination if necessary. You will also ensure compliance with local labour laws while leading the development of key competencies among employees.
- Plan, manage and direct the strategic and operational human resources function for various business units in Thailand.
- Oversee the development of HR policies and programs for various business units.
- Build and maintain strong employee relations with all levels.
- Direct the development of a competitive remuneration policy that will attract and retain staff.
- Manage the yearly performance management process.
- Dispute settlement and grievance handling, conduct and review disciplinary cases leading to termination.
- Oversee the implementation of group-wide and local HR policies, standards and initiatives.
- Accountable for budgeting and managing Personnel Cost of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with local labor and industrial laws and regulations.
- Lead the development of key competencies of employees and managers.
What you bring:
As an ideal candidate for the Head of People position, you bring a wealth of experience in Human Resources management. With a Bachelor's degree in any discipline, you have spent at least 8 years in a related field with 3-4 years in a managerial role. Your excellent knowledge of Thai Labour Law is crucial to this role as well as your proficiency in English. Experience with Workday system is a significant advantage. Your strategic thinking, problem-solving skills and stakeholder management abilities are key to your success in this role. You are execution-focused, meticulous, and detail-oriented.
