Job Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 application support for trading and financial systems, ensuring high availability and performance of critical platforms.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents in a timely manner, with a focus on root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
- Collaborate closely with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to drive continuous improvement of support processes and system reliability.
- Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to detect and prevent issues proactively.
- Support deployment activities and production change management using CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Drive system stability and reliability initiatives aligned with SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) best practices, even if not formally titled as SRE.
- Participate in the improvement of workflows, automation scripts, and incident response protocols.
Job Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in application support within financial services, ideally in domains such as trading, brokerage, asset management, or capital markets.
- Prior experience in application development is preferred but not mandatory - candidates should have a solid understanding of how applications are built and operate in production.
- Great advantage: Exposure or familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK, Zabbix), incident management, and automation using scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Good advantage: Good understanding of .NET or Java-based applications, APIs, and database systems (SQL).
- Interested in SRE or Demonstrated SRE mindset: proactive, analytical, focused on reducing toil, and passionate about automation, reliability, and system uptime.
