What you'll do:
- Supervise the daily operations of the finance department with a strong focus on supporting business objectives and ensuring seamless financial processes.
- Provide comprehensive assistance to the General Manager on all financial matters, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for finance-related queries.
- Support and maintain close coordination with sales and operations teams to ensure accurate financial data flow and effective cross-departmental collaboration.
- Compile all necessary monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports in accordance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with the regional finance team to guarantee timely and precise management reporting that supports strategic decision-making.
- Prepare and analyse monthly profit and loss statements as well as balance sheets for all trading activities, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Take overall responsibility for accounting functions and taxation compliance, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and best practices.
- Verify supporting documents for monthly and year-end manual accruals to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Fulfil any other duties related to finance and accounting as required by management or evolving business needs.
What you bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required to provide a solid foundation for understanding complex financial concepts.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in finance or accounting roles demonstrates your depth of knowledge; experience within the logistics or transportation industry is considered an advantage.
- A strong command of English enables effective communication with both local colleagues and international stakeholders.
- Proficiency in preparing management reports, analysing profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and handling taxation matters is essential for this role.
