What you'll do:
As Senior Compliance Manager based in Bangkok, you will play an integral part in safeguarding the organisation’s reputation by ensuring rigorous adherence to legal standards across Thailand and Laos.
* Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of essential business contracts including sales, distribution, service agreements, and other commercial documents as required by the business unit.
* Support the Head of Legal for Thailand and Laos as well as regional compliance leaders in implementing corporate compliance policies, guidelines, audit protocols, and risk management strategies designed to protect organisational assets.
* Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability or risk within the business and develop effective corrective action plans to address these issues proactively.
* Assist in conducting comprehensive compliance and risk assessment exercises in collaboration with senior legal leadership to ensure robust internal controls.
* Oversee the management of compliance process systems such as contract management policies, compliance approvals, and related documentation workflows.
* Contribute to bi-annual corporate reporting requirements including litigation updates for headquarters while managing company secretarial matters and advising on local corporate law requirements.
* Advocate for strong internal governance by ensuring all activities align with both local regulations and global standards set by the organisation.
* Work closely with various internal stakeholders to achieve shared objectives related to compliance audits, internal controls, risk management initiatives, process improvements, and operational efficiency.
* Provide timely and substantiated compliance advice following thorough risk assessments to support decision-making across multiple departments.
* Act as the primary point of contact for all data privacy matters under PDPA regulations while supporting the implementation of data privacy policies throughout the organisation.
What you bring:
To excel as Senior Compliance Manager, you will bring extensive experience from both private practice or corporate environments within the FMCG landscape.
* Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent qualification as an Advocate & Solicitor or Legal Practitioner provides you with a solid foundation for this role.
* At least seven years’ post-qualification experience gained either within a reputable Thai legal firm or as an in-house counsel within the fast-moving consumer goods sector equips you with relevant industry insight.
* Demonstrated business acumen alongside proven ability to handle complex projects ensures you can navigate multifaceted challenges effectively.
* Exceptional multi-tasking skills combined with meticulous attention to detail enable you to prioritise workloads efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
* Systematic document management abilities allow you to organise filing processes seamlessly for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
* Fundamental knowledge of PDPA law is essential; prior hands-on experience dealing with data privacy matters will be highly regarded.
