You will be at the forefront of regulatory developments, collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders to promote best practices in sustainability, health, and safety. The company values not only your technical expertise but also your interpersonal skills, offering a supportive environment where your growth and well-being are prioritised. With flexible working opportunities, comprehensive training programmes, and a commitment to professional development, this is an exceptional chance to advance your career while making a meaningful impact on the future of sustainable chemistry.
- Play a key role in ensuring compliance with complex chemical regulations across Southeast Asia by acting as the main point of contact for product stewardship and EHS matters.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and customers to interpret requirements, influence policy development, and provide expert guidance on regulatory issues.
- Benefit from a workplace that champions diversity, supports personal growth through extensive training opportunities, and encourages flexible working arrangements for optimal work-life balance.
What you'll do:
As Deputy Manager Product Stewardship and Environmental Health and Safety, you will immerse yourself in a multifaceted position that bridges technical expertise with collaborative stakeholder engagement. Your daily activities will involve monitoring regulatory landscapes across Southeast Asia, interpreting legislative changes for internal teams, conducting risk assessments on products throughout their lifecycle, and providing actionable advice on compliance strategies. You will facilitate open communication between business units and external partners such as regulators or industry groups while championing responsible chemical management practices. In addition to overseeing EHS protocols—including training delivery, audit preparation, crisis management planning—you will play an instrumental role in integrating these principles into every aspect of operations. Success in this role requires you to combine analytical thinking with strong interpersonal skills so you can translate complex regulations into practical solutions that support both business objectives and environmental responsibility.
- Serve as the primary contact for coatings business units regarding Southeast Asian chemical regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legal requirements affecting finished products and related chemicals.
- Work collaboratively with regional and global product stewardship teams to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving national and international legislation.
- Engage proactively with regulatory authorities, industry associations, and other stakeholders to interpret complex requirements, participate in policy discussions, share insights, and help shape regulations aligned with organisational objectives.
- Conduct thorough hazard assessments and risk evaluations of products from both chemical and regulatory perspectives by partnering closely with internal experts.
- Communicate regulatory impacts effectively to stakeholders using newly established channels designed for proactive information sharing.
- Provide detailed guidance to business units and customers on intricate chemical regulatory issues related to sales products and new developments.
- Act as Trade Control Officer locally by supporting country management in compliance decisions, coordinating with supply chain and sales teams to secure necessary licences or permits.
- Oversee Management of Change processes, respond promptly to customer requests regarding regulatory matters, and manage additional assignments as required.
- Establish high-quality EHS services tailored to local needs while ensuring full legal compliance within Vietnam’s operational context.
- Organise comprehensive EHS training sessions for all employees in accordance with local guidelines, support due diligence for new sites or laboratories, conduct internal audits, manage crisis situations including rapid incident reporting, and maintain databases for target market segments.

Proficiency in digital tools streamlines your workflow while fluency in English allows seamless interaction within this global network. Above all else your commitment to fostering safe sustainable practices sets you apart as someone who not only understands the rules but actively contributes towards building a more responsible future.

- Demonstrate at least five years’ experience specifically within product stewardship or EHS roles focused on Asian Pacific or Vietnamese chemical regulations.
- Exhibit excellent communication abilities that enable you to convey technical or regulatory information clearly at all levels within an organisation as well as externally when representing the company.

- Display high levels of commitment alongside teamwork skills that foster collaboration across departments while remaining flexible in response to changing priorities.
- Possess strong customer orientation combined with an independent yet structured approach to managing multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality or compliance.
- Be proficient in standard IT applications such as Microsoft Office Suite along with SAP systems used for data management or reporting purposes.
