Job Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead chemical production and laboratory operations. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting the successful transition of new products from development to full-scale manufacturing.
You will oversee a team of area managers, chemists, technicians, and fostering collaboration across R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and Operations to meet production goals and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
Work Environment:
This role operates within both laboratory and chemical manufacturing settings, involving exposure to hazardous materials. Use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory. Physical activities include standing, lifting, and operating machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance:
- Champion chemical safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental safety.
- Ensure staff training and adherence to safety standards.
Production & Laboratory:
- Lead daily operations in chemical manufacturing and laboratory testing.
- Ensure production targets are met within budget and timelines.
- Manage equipment calibration, testing accuracy, and lab reliability.
Quality:
- Implement robust quality control systems.
- Conduct audits and resolve non-conformities.
- Collaborate on failure investigations and product improvements.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and develop high-performing teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet KPIs.
- Support staffing, performance reviews, and employee engagement.
Process Improvement & Optimization:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Lead lean manufacturing and cost-reduction projects.
Inventory & Documentation:
- Monitor raw material and chemical inventory levels.
- Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of production data.
- Present performance insights and improvement plans to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- 8-15 years of experience in chemical manufacturing operation including 5+ years in a leadership role with background from multinational firms.
- Strong knowledge of chemical production processes and lab techniques.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, ISO 9001, and SPC tools.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Good communication in English, both written and verbal.
- Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work based in Rayong.
