About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and energetic Automation Service Engineer to strengthen our service business in Vietnam. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers to enhance their performance, provide reliable automation solutions, and contribute to Valmet’s growth.
This is a customer-facing role that combines technical expertise, service delivery, and business support in a truly international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical services, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and on-call support for installed systems.
Lead and participate in project implementation, including installation supervision, commissioning, start-up, and documentation.
Deliver customer training programs to ensure effective system use and long-term reliability.
Support the service sales team to help achieve annual business targets and identify opportunities for lead generation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Automation & IT, Process Control, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and/or Quality Control Systems (QCS).
Previous experience in pulp & paper manufacturing processes is highly valued.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a positive attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.
Service & sales mindset with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English (spoken & written) and able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese.
Willingness to travel within Vietnam and abroad.
Driver’s license and personal car are an advantage.
